Another two-goal lead blown leads to another frustrating loss

On Tuesday Night, the Penguins hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning and went up 2-0, blew it in the third period, and lost in overtime. Same old same old.

When the Penguins went into the third period of Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Penguins fans were quite nervous. The Penguins are notorious for blowing leads, especially if the lead is 2-0, and what Penguins fans feared, happened yet again. The Lightning tied it up 2-2 before the third ended, the game went into overtime, and Lightning forward Brayden Point beat Tristan Jarry for the game winner.

Jarry played an awful angle, came all the way out of the net, and Point had an open cage and it was so easy for him. Jarry played amazing all night long until the overtime winner when he was in no man's land.

The Penguins actually played pretty well all game

For the most part in Tuesday's game, the Penguins played well enough to win. They were forechecking, they were getting after loose pucks, and they were playing defense.

And they got a pretty nice goal from forward Jesse Puljujarvi which made it 1-0 Penguins and they were off and running in this one.

And then the Penguins had a powerplay late in the second period, and captain Sidney Crosby made a hell of a pass to winger Rickard Rakell and Rakell beat Vasilevsky for a 2-0 Penguins lead.

The Penguins were coasting into the third period up 2-0 and feeling good about themselves, until it all fell apart per usual.

This should be the final straw for Mike Sullivan

You would think that after another two-goal lead blown and another loss, GM Kyle Dubas would finally make the right decision and fire Sullivan. There is no explanation as to why Sullivan still has a job behind the Penguins bench.

The only thing that fans have thought is Crosby is a big fan of Sullivan and wants him to be the coach for when the big three end up retiring. But nobody truly knows why Sullivan has not gotten the boot.
