The Penguins are getting set to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in their Hall-of-Fame game on Saturday night. But for this upcoming clash, Dan Muse announced that he is making some lineup changes before the Penguins are set to take the ice.

Muse will be scratching young forward Ben Kindel and young defenseman Harrison Brunicke. In their places, forward Philip Tomasino and defenseman Matt Dumba will enter the lineup against the fiesty Blue Jackets.

And Muse will also continue with the rotation of his goalies as Arturs Silovs will get the start on Saturday against the Blue Jackets. Both goalies have been really good for the Penguins as of late so rotating them is not a bad idea at all.

Scratching Brunicke and Kindel against the Blue Jackets is a good thing

It may not come with a good fan reaction, but sitting Kindel and Brunicke on Saturday night is a good thing for the long term. Fans might want them to play against this tough team in Columbus, but the two kids are on a development plan.

Muse and general manager Kyle Dubas have a plan in place for the young kids as they will not be playing every game this season and will essentially be on a "pitch count". They will sit out games here and there to learn from the veterans and make sure they are not burnt out as the season goes on.

But each time the two kids play a game, they look really good, and it looks like they could be staying with the Penguins the whole entire season. So fans should not be upset that the kids are sitting this game out and are getting some rest and are going to be watching this one from the press box.

Penguins fans should be trusting Muse and Dubas as they navigate the number of games that Kindel and Brunicke play this season and keep them on track with their development plan. This is a very good decision for the long run and will pay off in the future.
