The Penguins were taking on another playoff team in the Vegas Golden Knights to begin a 5-game homestand after just defeating the Minnesota Wild on Sunday. The Penguins got seriously outplayed in this one and led 2-0 for a good while but blew it with six seconds left as Noah Hanifin's one-timer beat Jarry and sent the game to overtime.
But Karlsson had some ideas to send Penguins fans home happy and sent a wicked wrister past Golden Knights goalie Ilya Samsonov and the Penguins took this one 3-2 in the extra session. Crosby had 2 goals and Jarry stopped 35-of-37 shots in the victory as well.

First Period
There was not much action in the first period but the Penguins did get on the board first thanks to a nifty pass from Rickard Rakell finding Sidney Crosby alone in front.
The Penguins had a late powerplay in the first period Tomas Hertl sat in the box for high-sticking to serve Vegas's second penalty of the night and Crosby made them pay.
He received quite the pass from Rakell as the Golden Knights somehow left Crosby all by himself in front of the net and he beat Samsonov upstairs for a 1-0 Penguins lead going into the intermission.

Second Period
Crosby kept the party rolling early in the second period as the Golden Knights again lost sight of Crosby and let him walk down the slot by himself and rip one past Samsonov for a 2-0 Penguins lead and the crowd went nuts.

But the Golden Knights had a late answer on the powerplay in the second period as Pavel Dorofyev beat Jarry on a one-timer that honestly Jarry is going to want back.
The Penguins took a 2-1 lead into the third period.
Third Period
The Penguins were on their heels for the majority of the period as the Golden Knights were throwing everything they could at the net and Jarry was up to the task.
Until Noah Hanifin found a way to beat him and tie the game with only 6 seconds remaining and send this game to overtime and get both teams a point.
Overtime
This one did not take very long to get solved as Erik Karlsson walked down near the right faceoff dot and let one rip and brought the house down as it beat Samsonov and sent Penguins fans into a frenzy.
It was a two-point party on fifth avenue and was all she wrote for this one at PPG Paints Arena.
