It should come to nobody's surprise that the NHL named Sidney Crosby as one of the first six players that gets to participate on Team Canada in the 2026 Olympics in Milan. Crosby also participated for Team Canada this past year in the Four Nations Face Off where Canada beat the USA in overtime in the final.
Crosby is just one-of-one. He is just an unworldly player, and it was completely expected for him to make Team Canada in the upcoming Olympics and might be one of his last international tournaments and hockey fans should cherish that.

Watching Crosby and McDavid play together again on the international stage is gonna be a treat
Every hockey fan in the world enjoys watching Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid play individually. But it is a way different story when they play together for Team Canada.
Hockey fans got to experience this when they both played for Team Canada at the Four Nations Face Off and McDavid scored the overtime game-winning goal to win gold for Canada.
Crosby was not playing at 100% in that tournament as he had a hand injury. But to know that they are both on Team Canada again, for the upcoming Olympics, is an exciting thing to think about.
Hockey fans again get treated to watching two of the best players of the current era go at it together going for gold again on a big stage in Milan. Better buckle up because it is about to be absolute cinema come 2026.
