There are a lot of negatives going against the Pittsburgh Penguins to start their season, but their new jerseys are one of them. It's been teased by the NHL that their clubs would be unveiling "hometown remix" uniforms at some points this season, and well, each team just did. While some of them have gained positive reviews, the Penguins new threads are clearly not getting positive marks early on.

The new remix jerseys for the Penguins are different shades of blue mixed in with yellow throughout. The main part of the jersey is a dark navy blue with a light and bright blue over the shoulders and around the collar.

Perhaps the ugliest statement that has gained laughable traction since unveiling these new uniforms is the cheese-like yellow polka dots on the Penguins crest highlighting the middle of the jersey.

As you look closer to the different details on this uniform, it's obvious that the organization put some hidden details throughout the design. That being said, this uniform is another blue throwback that hasn't gotten a ton of positive traction in the past from the fans. For the most part, this appears like another swing and a miss by the Penguins top designers who come up with the uniform ideas.

Pittsburgh Penguins hometown remix jerseys are already seeing mass amount of negativity

At the end of the day, these jerseys and uniforms mean nothing if the team cannot turn things around this season.

If the Penguins win a lot of games while wearing these new threads, then perhaps they will start to gain some positive momentum. That being said, for the most part, these new colors are not getting rave reviews. They might have to scrap these jerseys before anyone catches on.

This jersey has seen some people like them to start, but for the most part, many don't seem to be enjoying them. For instance, a tweet by Sam Len compared them to Chuck E. Cheese. That hilarious comparison will certainly get Penguins fans talking as the dots in the crest do appear like cheese. It's just one of the many design flaws on these uniforms that will make them an infamous part of history.

Another negative comment under the Penguins jersey reveal post on twitter was by user Rybamuse who was more than disappointed. Not only did these uniforms not meet their standards, but it might only pile onto the Penguins already disastrous start to the season. They believe this could be another embarrassing chapter to stockpile onto a campaign that's already getting ugly for the franchise.
