Tristan Jarry made his first start since January 14th when he took a 4-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken when he gave up 2 goals in 50 seconds which doomed the Penguins in the loss. He played quite the game against the MinnesotWild on Sunday making key save after key save.
Jarry made 29-of-30 stops in the victory and earned himself a nice welcome back to the Penguins with the victory and the near perfect scoreline. If this good play continues for the streaky goaltender, general manager Kyle Dubas should try everything he can to try to trade him in the offseason.
Penguins fans are likely to be disappointed as Jarry is not likely to continue this play
Everyone knows that throughout his career, Jarry has had his good games and has had his bad games. This recent game against the Wild is likely an outlier and he will come back down to earth and start playing bad again.
Penguins fans are hoping for as many losses as they can get here down the stretch and having Jarry in goal is going to be a big help with that.
Sure, Penguins fans are hoping Jarry continues with the good play so he can be moved in the offseason, but it should be expected that he plays bad again and helps the team tank for a top draft pick the rest of the way.
It is preferrable if Jarry plays bad to clear the way for Blomqvist and Murashov
As previously stated, Blomqvist struggled in the NHL recently and was sent down back to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins to help with developing him more.
But that does not mean Penguins fans should be writing him off so soon. The Penguins hope that he can be a viable option for them in years to come since for the time being he is only a rookie.
They also have Sergei Murashov going back and forth between the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers and Wilkes-Barre but he is part of the equation too.
Penguins fans in all likelihood should be hoping that Jarry ups his value again, so it makes it easier to trade him to get Blomqvist and Murashov back in the NHL sooner rather than later.
