The NHL is gearing up for the Olympics soon in February in Milan, Italy and that means that the best-of-the-best are going to be taking part for their home countries. It was a no-brainer that Sidney Crosby was selected to Team Canada and as the captain of the team.

And when players are selected to their home countries for the Olympics or other World Tournaments, they usually play with players from other teams they are not used to playing with. But the head coach of Team Canada, Dean Evason, asked Crosby who he wanted to play with and said this Sharks player was his preference.

Watching Crosby play with Celebrini on the World Stage in the Olympics would be an absolute treat to watch as fans. These two are the best-of-the-best in terms of their generations. It is like how that one tweet a long time ago that said Crosby was going to pass the torch to Claude Giroux.

But now it feels like within the next few years, that Crosby is going to pass the torch to Celebrini. Both are different players in terms of how they play but they both are super dynamic and super fun to watch.

If Evason were to honor Crosby's request, the two would definitely be a great duo. It is also the fact that as of the current moment, the Penguins and Sharks are both in playoff spots in their respective conferences and played a great game not long ago that the Sharks won in OT.

If that duo is put together by Evason when the Olympics start here in a few short weeks, then Canada definitely has a shot to win the gold medal. They should either be favorited to win originally or be right there in the running to at least get the silver medal.

Penguins fans and Sharks fans should be jumping for joy seeing that Evason is considering putting Crosby and Celebrini together on the same line. This is a great opportunity to see two dynamic players from two different hockey generations take off on the World stage.
