Sidney Crosby puts up another vintage performance in Canada's 7-0 win over Slovakia

Another big performance by the Penguins captain on the international stage? This is almost a nightly thing and comes easy to the legend.

It is quite the treat whenever Crosby decides to go play for his home country in the IIHF World Championships or the Four Nations Face Off or the Olympics. No matter the tournament, no matter the international stage, the kid still has it.

Crosby put up 2 points and 2 assists in their 7-0 preliminary win over the Slovaks and it was another astonishing performance for the Canadian and Penguins captain, that it is becoming a daily thing for him.

He took a sweet behind-the-back pass from San Jose Sharks rookie Macklin Celebrini and potted it to make it 3-0 Canada early in the second period. What a pass from the kid and what a finish from Crosby.

Penguins fans would not be able to imagine Celebrini and Crosby together in Pittsburgh

It would never happen, but could you imagine if somehow someway Kyle Dubas was able to pry Macklin Celebrini from the Sharks and put him on Crosby's line for the foreseeable future?

It is a pipe dream thinking about that, but what a scenario it would be. He is the perfect complement to what Crosby needs in terms of production from linemates. Celebrini could end up being Crosby's Guentzel again if he was to come to Pittsburgh.

But there is no possible way that Mike Grier would ever trade Celebrini especially since he is the star in San Jose and was taken with the first-overall pick a year ago.

With every great perfomance on the international stage, it adds accolades to Crosby's name

Crosby has almost every award in the NHL books to his name. Stanley Cups, Conn Smythes, Calder trophies, he even scored the golden goal at the Olympics for Canada long ago.

It is no secret that Crosby dominates every team he is on or every tournament that he goes and competes in. He is just that good of a player. He has always been that person that is voted the most complete player in the NHL.

Canada is likely going to go far in the IIHF Worlds, and it will just add another accolade to Crosby's trophy case, and he will take that any day of the week.
