Sidney Crosby has been to the playoffs many times in his career and has made quite the statement on the national stage when it truly matters most.
Although Crosby has missed the playoffs the last three years in Pittsburgh, he has tallied 71 playoff goals in 180 games which is a super impressive number.
A few of the goals he scored in the playoffs were big ones and deserve to be highlighted and praised for just how well he scored them or how big the moment was.
Game 2 2017 Eastern Conference Finals vs Tampa Bay Lightning
This is the game where the Penguins had just dropped game one to the Lightning on home ice and absolutely could not afford to drop game 2 and had to have it.
Well the captain Sidney Crosby made sure Penguins fans went home happy and that they were heading back to Tampa Bay with at least a split.
He scored the overtime game-winning goal on a 2-on-1 with Bryan Rust and beat Andrei Vasilevsky on a pretty shot and the series went back to Tampa Bay tied at 1.
Game 2 2022 first round versus the New York Rangers
The Penguins came into this game up 1-0 in the series after Evgeni Malkin won game one for them in triple overtime to take the first game of the series on the road at Madison Square Garden.
Crosby was trying to help his team will their way back into game 2 and try to get to a 2-0 series leading heading back to Pittsburgh.
They trailed 3-1 in the game and Crosby went in alone on several defenders and willed his way to the net and put home his own rebound for a very nifty goal. No the Penguins did not win this game, but wow what hands the captain has.
Game 1 2018 first round versus Philadelphia Flyers
For the Penguins, they knew they were about to open the first round of the 2018 playoffs with a win as they were already routing the Flyers.
But for Crosby, he was still putting up a fight and would not say die. The game was pretty much over, but Crosby said he was not finished. He scored a hat trick in this game and this was one of the goals.
Such a very impressive eye-opening deflection for the goal. Crosby can do it all.
