It is not everyday when you see teammates of Penguins draft picks be on the same team or be invited to development camp over the summer. But that is exactly what happened as when the Penguins released their roster for the upcoming development camp, there was a really interesting name on there.
None other than Oliver Tulk who got to play alongside Penguins first-round pick Benjamin Kindel this past season in the WHL with the Calgary Hitmen.
Let it be known that Penguins 2024 second-round pick Tanner Howe also played with Kindel and Tulk but Howe is out for now with an injury so the trio is not reunited just yet.

No matter what happens, Oliver Tulk is committed to the University of Wisconsin next season
Ben Kindel and Tanner Howe must have really been super excited when they saw that their buddy and former teammate was going to join them for Penguins development camp.
Tulk had a fantastic season last year for the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League. Tulk tallied 38 goals and 62 assists in 65 games and had 80 points in 66 games the season before that.
Tulk definitely has the potential, but he is committed to college hockey for the Badgers next season no matter what happens at development camp later this summer.

It would be awesome if Tulk was tendered a contract and played in the NHL with his buddies at some point
How cool would it be if Tulk got a deal to stay with the Penguins after development camp, got an AHL deal with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, and got to forego college hockey?
Tulk could quickly make a name for himself this year and possibly see some NHL ice-time with his former friends next year if all goes to plan and they all do well at the same time.
That is an absolute dream for Penguins fans as new head coach Dan Muse is huge on development and could really help Tulk, Kindel, and Howe find their game and find success in the NHL for years to come.
