Every NHL fan sadly watched Marc-Andre Fleury take the ice for the final time for the handshake line after the Minnesota Wild's 3-2 Game 6 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday. Fleury was an influential player to every hockey fan across the globe and has left his mark on fans and players who look up to him. He had some unworldly saves in his career as a Penguin, but which ones really stood out? Let's take a look!

Fleury vs Alfredsson in the shootout

It was Wednesday Night Rivalry on NBCSN as the Penguins hosted the Detroit Red Wings on April 10, 2014, very late in the season.

The game was tied at 3 and the shootout was tied at 0 as Daniel Alfredsson greeted Fleury as the Red Wings first shooter. He came in and thought he had the legendary goaltender beat but somehow Fleury kept the puck out.

Holy moly what a save it was. Only Fleury knew that the puck was not in and he had it in his glove, leaving Alfredsson in disbelief.

Fleury vs Alex Ovechkin in the 2017 Playoffs

Everyone remembers this rivalry and this game. Capitals vs Penguins in Game 7 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Everything on the line as it was win or go home for both teams as the Capitals hosted the Penguins for this all the marbles game.

It was 1-0 Penguins late in the second period as Ovechkin was fed the puck in the slot and somehow someway Fleury made a spectacular save to keep the game 1-0 as the superstar Russian could not believe he did not tie it.

This save really helped the Penguins in their run to their 5th Stanley Cup ring back in 2017. Thank you for this Flower, we will never forget it.

Fleury vs Nick Lidstrom in 2009

Backtrack 16 years ago, rematch of the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals between the Detroit Red WIngs and Pittsburgh Penguins. Game 7 from Joe Louis Arena, 2-1 Penguins with 10 or so seconds to go and the Red Wings win the faceoff.

The Puck is fed to the point and it gets over to the left faceoff dot as Lidstrom sees an open net and fires right before the buzzer and Fleury somehow gets over and makes the save and preserves the win and the Stanley Cup for the Penguins.

The revenge they were seeking from the 2008 defeat was theirs. Fleury made one final insane save to seal the win, and us Penguins fans will never forget that save and that moment ever.
