The Penguins marched into their last game of the 7-game road trip with a 2-4 record. They improved that record to 3-4 with Crosby's miraculous OT winner to cap off the road trip.

The Penguins visited Utah on the last game of their very long road trip and needed to make it count. And they did just that as Sidney Crosby put on quite a move for the OT winner against Connor Ingram as the Penguins took this late one 3-2. The Penguins also got goals from defensemen Marcus Pettersson and Erik Karlsson in this one.

First Period

This period was dominated by the Utah Hockey Club as they led in shots 12-4 and had a 1-0 lead going into the second period.

The only goal of this period was scored by defenseman Mikhail Sergachev on the powerplay off of a penalty from Blake Lizotte.

This period also had a very early fight from fourth-line forward Boko Imama. Imama loves to fight and will take on whoever he can whenever he can.

Second Period

This period was dominated by the Penguins even though they went into the third period down 2-1. The Penguins tied the game middle second period on quite a shot from Marcus Pettersson that fooled Ingram.

Utah's Michael Carcone gave his team the lead a little less than 2 minutes later off of a breakaway. His first shot was stopped by Alex Nedeljkovic but he potted the rebound and Utah had the lead back.

Third Period

This period was mainly uneventful but the Penguins tied it up on a sneaky wrister from Erik Karlsson and it was a 2-2 game with around 13 minutes left in the game.

Not much happened for the rest of the period and both teams secured at least a point in this one, and were looking for the second one.

Overtime

Penguins' fans usually hold their breath in overtime, but not tonight. The Penguins got a vintage Sidney Crosby OT winner and went back home to Pittsburgh happy and feeling good about themselves.

That was all she wrote from Utah as the Penguins took this one in overtime on a classic Sidney Crosby goal. The Penguins go home on Saturday night to face the Nashville Predators next.
