The Christmas season is fast approaching and with that comes the yearly wish lists. For the Penguins, they need a few things that are quite apparent.

More Consistent Goaltending

This should be high up on the Penguins holiday wish list. It is something that they struggled with at the beginning of the year but lately have seemed to figure it out somewhat.

Take the first game of the season for example, Jarry had allowed six goals and looked horrible. But he has figured it out lately. In his last 5 games, his save percentages have been .902, .926, .808, .913, and .903.

The Penguins also got really good goaltending from Alex Nedeljkovic in last night's win over the Los Angeles Kings. He stopped 29 of 31 shots for a .935 save percentage.

The Penguins are going to need to continue to get good goaltending as the season goes on, if they want any shot at making the playoffs.

For Sidney Crosby to start scoring again

For a while now, it seems like Crosby has been in quite a slump. He looks like he is just gliding around when he is on the ice and really not doing much. That is something that is concerning to Penguins fans.

But in last night's win, he really looked like he was trying to score and had several big chances robbed by Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper. But one thing he did, really stood out even though he did not score a goal.

He fed a really nice pass to defenseman Matt Grzelcyk late in the third period and Grzelcyk buried it and tied the game at 2 and sent it to overtime. It was an insane pass and one that only a player of Crosby's caliber can make.

The Penguins are going to need Crosby to start scoring goals again to help continue to win games and grab points in games they have no business being in.

The holiday wish list for the Penguins is a short but obvious one and as Christmas approaches, they hope to get these things.
