Alex Semin – Carolina Hurricanes

I know, HUGE price tag. But, keep in mind that the Hurricanes were reportedly shopping Semin at this years trade deadline with the idea of retaining salary.

Alexander Semin is about as pure of a goal scorer as you’ll see. He has a rocket of a shot, quick release, and would fit very well with Evgeni Malkin. While he hasn’t been able to find his scoring touch in Carolina, I can almost guarantee that wouldn’t be the case playing with the type of talent Pittsburgh can offer.

You want a right-handed shot that can help fix the power play?

Ron Francis will be willing to hear all offers, as he’s spending a lot of money on a player that doesn’t fit that team. If you can workout a deal with retained salary it’s definitely worth a phone call.
