NHL Playoffs 2017, Pittsburgh Penguins Vs. Columbus Blue Jackets Game 3: Start Time, Live Stream, TV Info and More
The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to take a 3-0 series lead over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday when the two face off in game three of their first round match-up.
After a sudden injury to goaltender Matt Murray prior to game one of the series, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury had to come in cold for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nevertheless, the Penguins were able to hold the Blue Jackets to only one goal with a 3-1 victory in the first game of the series.
Going into game two hot, the Penguins had another successful night on Friday. Backed by captain Sidney Crosby’s three-point night, the Penguins easily took a 4-1 win against the Blue Jackets to take a 2-0 lead.
Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins will have to come in hot in game three right off the bat. They will be looking to convert on the defensive holes they have been able to find on Columbus in games one and two. They shouldn’t forget that Sergei Bobrovsky is a very good goalie, but they should keep in mind that their offence is clicking right now.
Matt Calvert Suspended One Game
One big highlight from Friday’s game two was the vicious cross-check that Columbus forward Matt Calvert laid on Penguins forward Tom Kuhnhackl.
Calvert crossed-checked Kuhnhackl in his upper-back, breaking his own at the same time. Calvert then delivered another cheap check, taking Kuhnhackl down to the ice while he was recovering from the cross-check.
Well the Columbus Blue Jackets will play game three without Calvert in the lineup. Matt Calvert has been suspended one game for his actions in game two, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced Saturday.
With emotions peaking, it will surely be an intense game on Sunday. The Penguins will be looking to go with similar lines from Friday night, which were as follows:
Jake Guentzel – Sidney Crosby – Conor Sheary
Bryan Rust – Evgeni Malkin – Phil Kessel
Scott Wilson – Nick Bonino – Patric Hornqvist
Carter Rowney – Matt Cullen – Tom Kuhnhackl
Ian Cole- Justin Schultz
Olli Maatta – Trevor Daley
Brian Dumoulin – Ron Hainsey
Marc-Andre Fleury
