The Pittsburgh Penguins roll into game two of their second round match-up against the Washington Capitals with a 1-0 series lead.

After an intense game one on Thursday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins will look to extend their lead to 2-0.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Thursday saw a big game from the boys in black and gold. Two quick goals from captain Sidney Crosby in the second period saw the Penguins go up 2-0. However, the Penguins soon allowed the Capitals to tie it, giving us a real nail-biter.

In the third period, stakes and emotions were peaking. Luckily for us, Nick Bonino made a highlight reel play to score the game-winning goal for the Penguins off a breakaway. Penguins took the game by a score of 3-2 and upset the Capitals at home.

Lines

Via practice lines yesterday, the Penguins seem to be rolling with similar lines to that of game one, with a few different rotations and switches.

As per Coach Sullivan, Daley, Dumoulin and Hornqvist had maintenance days and are therefore not in the practice lines. Expect them to suit up on Saturday.

Carl Hagelin is getting closer to his return. According to Coach Sullivan, he said he feels good and is playing with full-contact. His return will most likely be a game-time decision with him replacing someone in the line-up.
