The Pittsburgh Penguins had an opportunity to close out their second round series against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, but unfortunately they let it slip away.

The Pittsburgh Penguins were not able to hold on to their 2-1 lead that they garnered in the first two periods of Saturday’s game five. They let the Capitals score three goals in the third period to cut their series lead from 3-1 to 3-2.

Going into game six, there is still reason to be optimistic. Sidney Crosby and Conor Sheary are back from injury, and Marc-Andre Fleury is still more than solid in net.

When it comes down to it, I think the Penguins just have to play better defensively. Braden Holtby has not been very hot these playoffs. We can figure him out quite easily, as we have before. We just have to put more focus on holding our leads before we end up looking like the Edmonton Oilers.

Lines

With the returns of Sidney Crosby and Conor Sheary who suffered concussions in game three, the Penguins have decided to shake things up a little bit. Here are what the lines will look like going into game six, according to Pens Inside Scoop on Twitter.

The biggest change you can see is the reuniting of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino, and Phil Kessel, otherwise known as the HBK line. The HBK line did wonders for the Penguins in the playoffs last year, so let’s hope they can do the same this year.
