This year’s NHL Fan Choice Awards are open for business. The Pittsburgh Penguins have a few things to vote on, but one vote, in particular, needs to win.

The Pittsburgh Penguins options to vote on in this year’s NHL Fan Choice Awards are kind of shortlisted. Best mascot and best arena are for sure needing votes but the one needing to win is the vote for the top team video award featuring Kris Letang’s son, Alex Letang.

The voting for this award and all of the others are open until June 1st of this year (link here). You’ll see that this video and the tweet with it is an instant classic but if you haven’t seen the video yet, click on the link here, or watch it in its entirety below.

Little Alex Letang took the All-Star game by storm last season, even showing up his multiple times, Stanley Cup winning father. From asking every single mascot for selfies and pictures to telling the world how he will one day be the Penguins number 58 or 87… this kid had it all.

Now, he and the Pittsburgh Penguins need your help. The video is one of four options when you vote and it has some pretty tough competition. Alex’s competition comes from the Washington Capitals in with a Mite of the Nite video, the Chicago Blackhawks “as fast as her” video, and the Montreal Canadians putting a mic on Boyd Petry’s son during a game.

Beside’s voting for Alex and Kris Letang, the before mentioned mascot and arena awards are up for grabs and ready for your vote. Any Penguins fan will tell that Iceburgh is the only choice when it comes to mascots and is there really anywhere better to go than down 5th avenue on hockey night in Pittsburgh?

Come one, how can you not watch that video again and not want to vote for the young man. I for one would love to see him make it and continue the family legacy of playing for the Penguins. But for now, go vote for this gem of a video and get him the win.
