His highlight performance came in a 9-0 WBS win over the Hershey Bears where he notched four goals against one of the best teams in the AHL.
Acquired in the Jake Guentzel trade, Koivunen is now a top three prospect in the Penguins system, and his play in his first AHL season should bring fans a lot of excitement for what he could bring to the table with the NHL club in the coming years.

Overall this season, Koivunen has 15 goals and 21 assists (36 points) in 39 games played for the baby Penguins. His scoring touch and ability to create goals continues to be his calling card, and he's warming into that role right before our eyes.
