While there he seized the opportunity to begin broadcasting, which led him to where he is now, calling games as the voice of the Lake Erie Crushers professional baseball club in Avon, Ohio. Zane is a Pittsburgh fan through and through, co-hosting the Steelers' Boardman Black and Gold podcast and being a frequent critic of his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates. When he's not calling games or writing, Zane is playing any sport he can get his hands on, beating his family at board games, or learning Japanese.
